A beach club on the rocks at Nungwi, a short walk from the centre of the village, with a pool that looks straight out over the sea.

Their description, and ours after a look: recently opened, decor that has clearly been thought about, and music pitched at the setting rather than at a nightclub. Day beds, umbrellas and a restaurant, with the pool terrace built out over the coral.

Worth knowing: A beach club, so expect a minimum spend or an entry charge on busy days and at sunset. Ask what it is when you book rather than at the door.
